Our travel agent organised our walk through the oldest parts of Jaipur and the bazaars. Our guide – Arpana took us round. She was very knowledgeable and took great care to explain everything, it was informative and interesting. I would highly recommend booking this trip. She was also very kind and took care of my wife when she felt unwell.
Raghav Birla was our explorer and just expressed so much enthusiasm for his home and what he showed us as we did literally explore the side streets of Jaipur. Generously mixed with eating the local street food just completed the experience and we felt we had actually gotten to see and experience this – India. How wonderful! We would tour with this young man any time and visiting in early March was so very pleasant.
Our lovely guide, Nishta, pointed out local sights and explained the the culture of Udaipur. Upfront and honest, while showing us the colourful streets of Udaipur, she also laments the fast pace development brought on by tourism. I was fascinated to find a fellow environment enthusiast in Nishta and admire her work to bring more awareness to Indians and foreigners.
From traditional Ghumar to intricate Matka-dance, stories of Udaipur’s legacy takes you on the historic journey of vigour & bravery. What even more note-worthy is that the anchoring of the whole programmes is done in hindi as well as english making it easier for everyone to connect.
Anshu took 5 of us on a walking tour of the market area in Jaipur on a morning in early April. Although some of the narrow streets were quite daunting to first time visitors to India she made us all feel completely safe . She is a very personable young lady with lots of knowledge both local and historical and made this a very enjoyable tour
