Our city walk guide was Archie , an enthusiastic city explorer with unbelievably good knowledge of how this city functions and with his architectural background, its structure. He took us through the streets and narrow alleyways of Jaipur where you wouldn’t normally venture without a guide. We had a really good time with several samplings of delicious street foods.
I really enjoyed this city. Its unique, its different. The people were really nice and kind. The cultures and cuisines were awesome experience for me.
Golden City it is!!! Jaisalmer takes you to the old golden era of Stone Architecture. Almost everything in this city is built with limestone. Even the normal houses looks royal and beautiful. Taking a stroll through the lanes and looking at the spectacular buildings is one of its kind experience
This is an amazing place to come and visit – especially seeing the desert roll out from the parapets and imagining how isolated it must have felt when it was built, but for the trade routes passing through. Nowadays there are textiles and antiques shops but also a bustling market for the locals and a great mango juice bar. Do visit but also don’t miss a camel safari out into the desert.
In our 70s we loved the tour & the company of Archit young architecture student who was knowledgeable and respectful. We enjoy being in the streets and sharing local experiences. Recommend for young or old. Thanks, Trippy holidays
