Wedding Traditions In India: – India, a land where still weddings are one of the occasions wherein a father invests all his income for his children to lead a happy life. Some of the weddings are very short and simple due to less money but some are very expensive. Every wedding here is supposed to be done perfectly without missing any rituals because it is believed that it affects the building relationships between the bride and the groom.

Being the cultural capital it is well known for its diversity and varying cultural program according to the region. It brings a lot of joy to the family when a wedding takes place successfully with all the rituals and customs. Though all the rituals and customs are not followed on the same day of the wedding but the days before and after in which it differs as per the caste and region which are being celebrated only for well-being for the couple.

Before the wedding, different types of customs are celebrated. Some of the customs are common among all the caste which the engagement ceremony all called as ring ceremony which deals with the exchange of rings among the couple. This engagement is probably celebrated with cakes and drinks. Other ceremonies are haldi, Mehendi among different communities and caste.

On the wedding day, the couples are supposed to take seven turns around the sacred fire known as Agni ke Saath sphere which strengthens the bond and promises to guide in every thick and thin of life. There are other traditions that which happens related to a wedding between different region and community.
